Personal Testimony Of Stephen J. Vattimo.
I would like to thank our group Host fore encouraging us to share how we came to the road that lead us to a personal relationship with Jesus The Christ.
The Bible teaches that we should be ready in or out of season to give an answer for the hope that lives inside of us.
My name is Stephen J. Vattimo.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of The city of Philadelphia Pennsylvania of the United States of America.
I was born in the year 1965. I came into the world with my umbilical cord rapped around my neck and i was born blue. I was a problem child, hyper active, head strong, slow learner. I was removed from the public school system before I reached second grade. I was taken into custody of the state and enrolled into private boarding school fore emotionally disturbed and slow learners.
So if you notice that I can't spell and I am a poor writer, you now know why.
During my nine year stay at this school, I spent six years rebelling against the rules of the school. So I grew up standing in the corner for my bad behavior.
when I was fourteen year old , God brought a teacher into my life who possessed the gift of caring, patients, and creative methods of teaching, to help me to gain an interest in my education.
At the age of sixteen I graduated from the privet school and went back to live with my parents and to attend public high school. Now during the summer of 1981 was when i started my spiritual journey. I had always believed there was a God but i never was interested in organized religion. I Believe that during this summer God was drawing me to him self. I took on a strong interest in finding out who God truly is.
God had helped me on my quest by placing two Bibles in my hands.
One came from a charismatic Catholic woman who I babysat fore, and the other Bible was given to me from a friend I met in Civil Air Patrol.
Now that summer I had plenty of time to read The Bible because I got hit by a car crossing the street. I had spent a week or two in the hospital to recover from my injuries i had received from the car throwing my body 75 ft. through the air. I had to spend the summer under close watch because I Kept blacking out. So I spent long hour reading the scriptures, and the holy spirit open my eye to my spiritual need , and gave me understanding what i must do to have that need taken care of through putting my faith is Jesus.
Now the Devil did not loose one of his team member without a fight. He tried to ensnare me with various cult and occult groups who would send or give me their magazine, invite me to their meetings. The study of God"s word and illumination of The Holly Spirit has protected my walk with God.
Since I have Been walking with God, I have been seeking to serve Him by spreading His plan of salvation Fore sinful man, and His teaching in the Bible through the use of art, poetry, and commentary.
